This is an informational session for anyone interested in the accreditation process and a retraining session for current ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) evaluators. You do not have to register for the 2018 MRS Fall Meeting to attend.
Consider attending if:
- You want to learn more about the ABET accreditation process
- You are preparing for an upcoming accreditation visit
- You have questions about how to prepare your materials department for an accreditation visit
Walk-ins are also welcome.
NEW: You will be able to join the training session remotely by phone or VOIP/Computer. In order to receive the instructions to join the session, you must preregister and indicate that you will participate remotely in the Comments box. Instructions will be emailed to you one week prior to the training.

Bill Hammetter is the former Manager of the Advanced Materials Laboratory at Sandia National Laboratories and a member of the Accreditation Subcommittee for the Materials Research Society (MRS). He has served as an ABET program evaluator for 14 years and a commissioner on the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission for seven years.
