Key Products: Material Science Testing Externally on the International Space Station
The Alpha Space MISSE program allows researchers the ability to fly their materials/experiments in space and return those materials/experiments back to the researcher on earth for analysis. Each MSC provides 182 square inches of surface area so researchers can fly hundreds of candidate materials and variations. MISSE's design provides exposure to all four faces of the ISS: Ram, Wake, Zenith, and Nadir. MISSE can also be used to test active components, solar cells, and electronics.
