Visiting Research Fellow na Forschungszentrum Jülich
Dr. Caue Ribeiro received his BSc. degree in Materials Engineering in 1999, and in 2005 his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Sao Carlos Federal University. He has worked with Prof. Dr. Victor Pandolfelli, in research about refractory concrete, and after a short time in industry, he has returned to university to work under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Edson Leite, in the Ceramic Materials Center directed by Prof. Dr. Elson Longo, working with nanocrystals' physical chemistry. After a short time at a spin-off industry as Associate Researcher, in 2006 he was recruited by Ouro Preto Federal University as assistant professor in the Chemistry Department, Materials Chemistry Division. In 2007, he was recruited by Embrapa Instrumentation as Research Engineer in Nanotechnology. He is also regular professor of the Chemistry Graduation Program, at Federal University in Sao Carlos, advising Masters and PhD students. Since 2012 he is coordinator of AgroNano Network (https://www.embrapa.br/nano) supported by Embrapa to manage its nanotechnology research with different academic and industrial partners. In 2013 - 2015 he served as Executive Secretary of the Technical Committee and, from August/2015, he is Deputy Head of Technology Transfer of Embrapa Instrumentation, responsible for business relationships with private sector and other institutions. He is author / co-author of more than 150 scientific papers (nanoscience/ nanotechnology), 4 book chapters, 1 edited book, 1 textbook and 6 required patents. In 2018, he was Invited Researcher in National Center of Nanoscience and Technology Beijing, China (Chinese Acad Sci PIFI Fellow) and now Visiting Researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany (CAPES/ Humboldt fellow). His research includes semiconductor synthesis and photocatalytic applications (environmental and energy applications); and slow and controlled release systems for agrochemical's delivery.
